معرفی
Keno Riechers is a Researcher in the Department of Climate Physics at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, specializing in climate dynamics and abrupt climate change. His work focuses on understanding past climate tipping points, particularly Dansgaard-Oeschger events, using dynamical systems theory and advanced climate modeling. He holds a PhD from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (2023) and an M.Sc. in Physics from Universität Hamburg (2017).
His research combines paleoclimate analysis with modern modeling techniques, aiming to reduce uncertainties in future climate tipping scenarios. Key areas include the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), glacial cycles, and the application of the ICON climate model.
Recent publications explore multiscale climate phenomena, stable climate states during the last glacial period, and orbital forcing effects on Quaternary glaciations. His work bridges paleoclimate reconstructions with predictive modeling to inform climate risk assessment.
