Kenny Stephens

Dr. Kenny Stephens serves as the Professor of Physics and Associate Dean of the Holland School of Sciences and Mathematics (HSSM) at Huston-Tillotson University. He has led the Chemistry and Physics Department since 2005 and joined HSU's faculty in 2002. His expertise spans theoretical and computational physics, with a focus on plasma dynamics and nanomaterials.

Dr. Stephens' research explores plasma sheath dynamics, space-charge effects in drift tubes, and carbon nanotube synthesis via chemical vapor deposition. His postdoctoral work at the University of North Texas involved scanning-tunneling microscopy analyses of nanomaterial growth. He advises physics majors and students in the Pre-Engineering program.

Laboratory engagement includes contributions to nanotechnology research and plasma physics modeling.
