Kenneth Liebman, MD, FACS, FAANS, is a Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Drexel University College of Medicine and Director of the Cerebrovascular Division. He also serves as Director of Neurosurgical Critical Care at Global Neurosciences Institute (GNI). His clinical practice is independent of Drexel University. Previously, he held roles as Assistant Professor at Jefferson Medical College and Director of Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery at Seton Hall University's Department of Neurosciences.
Dr. Liebman earned his MD from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in Neurosurgery at Temple University Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, followed by fellowships in Cerebrovascular Microsurgery and Interventional Endovascular Neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals.
His research focuses on cerebrovascular care, including novel methods for drug delivery, post-surgical ICU patient outcomes, and stroke/aneurysm management. He has contributed to clinical trials at Capital Health System and was among the first to use innovative devices like the Trevo Pro Retriever and Solitaire for clot retrieval in ischemic stroke patients.
