Kenneth Faulve-Montojo is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Political Science at Santa Clara University, located in Vari Hall. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara (1998) and an A.B. from San Jose State University (1983). His research focuses on political economy, particularly the role of institutions in monetary politics in Southeast Asia, with a notable emphasis on the Philippines' interactions with international financial institutions. He authored a book titled The Philippines and the International Monetary Fund Negotiations on Petroleum and Imports: Toward a Theory of Negotiations, complemented by a research guide on the same topic (anticipated 2020).
He teaches courses such as International Political Economy, East Asian Political Economy, and War and Peace.
