Kenneth Dyer-Redner is a Lecturer in the Department of American Indian Studies at San Diego State University (SDSU). He is a member of the Paiute-Shoshone Tribe of Fallon, Nevada. Prior to joining SDSU, he taught at the University of Montana's Native American Studies Department. Dyer-Redner holds an M.S. in American Indian Studies from Arizona State University (2017) and a B.A. in English from the University of Nevada, Reno (2009).
His research focuses on themes of land, colonization/decolonization, identity, and the power of stories in Indigenous communities. Notably, his Master’s Thesis involved a 1,000-mile bicycle journey across Northern Nevada reservations to explore these themes through experiential and narrative frameworks.
