Kenneth D. Kihm is the Magnavox Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, where he has served since 2004. Previously, he held progressive academic appointments at Texas A&M University as Assistant Professor (1989-1994), Associate Professor (1994-2001), and Professor (2001-2004), following research associate work at Carnegie Mellon University.

Research Focus: Dr. Kihm's interdisciplinary research spans micro/nano-scale transport phenomena with emphasis on:

- Graphene synthesis and thermoelectric property analysis
- Innovations in experimental fluid dynamics and heat transfer measurement
