Kendy Hess is a Senior Research Fellow at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and the Brake Smith Associate Professor of Ethics and Social Philosophy at the College of the Holy Cross. Her work bridges philosophy, business ethics, and political theory, focusing on the normative implications of corporate structures and environmental obligations. She holds a PhD in Philosophy (University of Colorado), MA (Northwestern University), and JD (Harvard Law School).

Research Interests: Kendy’s scholarship examines competing conceptions of firms and business institutions, with a focus on ethical and political obligations. Her approach integrates liberal-arts methodologies, recognized by a National Endowment for the Humanities grant. She explores tensions between capitalism, environmental stewardship, and organizational responsibility.
