Kendra Packham

Dr Kendra Packham is a Research Fellow at the Institute of English Studies, University of London, specializing in early modern literature, political participation, and digital humanities. Her work explores intersections between literature, politics, and cross-confessional/transnational exchanges from the seventeenth century to the 1832 Reform Act.
Research highlights include her 2023 publication on election plays in The Review of English Studies, curating exhibitions at Senate House Library (2024) and Bodleian Library (2015), and BBC Radio 3 media appearances. She contributes to the AHRC-funded digital humanities project Eighteenth-Century Political Participation and Electoral Culture.
- Current book project: Recovery of election literature (plays, novels, ballads) and their interplay with visual satire
- Co-written TLS essay on Henry VIII’s love letters to Anne Boleyn
Scientific awards include British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship and affiliations with Wadham College, Oxford, and Newcastle University.
