Kenan Unlu

Kenan Unlu is a Professor of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering and Director of the Radiation Science & Engineering Center (RSEC) at Pennsylvania State University. He oversees the Penn State Breazeale Reactor (PSBR) and leads initiatives in nuclear security and policy. His research focuses on neutron beam methodologies for material analysis and intersects with legal and policy frameworks through his involvement in the Law, Policy, and Engineering (LPE) Academic and Research Working Groups.

Dr. Unlu holds a leadership role in creating Penn State's 'first of its kind' nuclear security program and has been recognized with the American Nuclear Society award. His office is located at 102 Breazeale Nuclear Reactor Building, and he can be reached at 814-865-6351.
