Ken Thomas

Ken Thomas is a Professor and Head of the School of Engineering at South East Technological University. He holds a PhD in Information Technology from University College Cork, a Masters in Management from the University of Kent, and a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from National University of Ireland, Galway. His research focuses on digital transformation in construction, including Digital Twins, BIM, GIS, and Additive Manufacturing.

His scientific contributions include 32 publications with an h-index of 71. He has served as an expert evaluator for EU H2020 Transport and Eco-Innovation programmes and co-founded the Construction IT Alliance (CitA). Ken actively supervises research and collaborates internationally on sustainable development goals.
