Ken Foskett is a Visiting Professor at the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. He retired in 2021 after a 32-year career at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where he served as Washington correspondent, investigative reporter, and Senior Editor for Investigations. He holds a B.A. in History from Yale University and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University.
His professional contributions include managing the AJC's internship program, recruiting 15-20 collegiate journalists annually. He is a former chair of the Atlanta Press Club’s board and currently serves as president emeritus of the Georgia First Amendment Foundation. Foskett authored a 2004 biography of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and has been recognized as an award-winning investigative reporter and editor.
He is affiliated with the James M. Cox Jr. Institute for Journalism Innovation, Management, and Leadership at the University of Georgia as an Industry Fellow. His teaching focuses on investigative reporting techniques, as evidenced by his repeated course offerings (MCO 545) across multiple semesters.
