Kemi Anazodo is a Professor at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor. She specializes in employment equity, criminal justice reform, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Her work focuses on dismantling barriers to employment for individuals with criminal records and advancing social responsibility in organizational practices. She serves as an employment reintegration research advisor at the John Howard Society of Ontario, collaborating on projects that address systemic inequities.
Dr. Anazodo co-founded and directs The CUBE (Indigenous and Black student talent incubator), aimed at fostering academic success and professional opportunities for marginalized students. She has partnered with organizations like the John Howard Society to research fair chance employment policies and has contributed to frameworks for DEI safeguards in AI and healthcare.
Her research spans interdisciplinary topics including post-incarceration employment challenges, gender dynamics in work release programs, and the impact of criminal history on career trajectories. She actively engages with community organizations to translate academic insights into actionable policies.
Notable collaborations include AACSB-recognized initiatives to improve employment outcomes for justice-affected individuals and the development of training programs to promote equitable hiring practices.
