Kemal Sumser

Kemal Sumser is an Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology's Department of Electrical Engineering. He leads the Electromagnetics for Care + Cure Research Lab (EM4Care+Cure) and is affiliated with the Center for Care & Cure Technology. His research focuses on biomedical engineering, hyperthermia, and medical imaging applications, particularly in tissue property characterization and therapeutic device design.

Education: PhD in Electrical Engineering (Eindhoven University of Technology). Research interests include antenna design for medical systems, surrogate models for rapid simulations, and electromagnetic field applications in healthcare. He has contributed to projects like Radiathe (2023–2026) for real-time dose control in cancer thermotherapy and Neurostimulation (2019–2023) for epilepsy treatment.

He teaches courses such as Honors Part 1 & 2 in Health Empowerment, MRI for the Brain, and Technology for Care and Cure. His work aligns with UN SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being), emphasizing medical innovation through electromagnetics and imaging.
