Dr. Kelvin Tan is an Associate Professor in Finance at the University of Queensland (UQ) Business School, within the School of Business. He holds positions such as Honours Program Leader, sits on the Research and Education Committees, and serves as a Deputy Editor at the Accounting and Finance Journal. His research focuses on corporate finance, capital structure, and labor economics, with publications in top-tier journals like Organization Science and Journal of Corporate Finance. He has received multiple accolades, including the 2022 Cross-Discipline Research Award and teaching excellence awards.
