Kelsey Martin, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Hematology) at Yale School of Medicine and Medical Director of Classical Hematology at Smilow Cancer Hospital. She specializes in hematology, oncology, and the influence of sex/gender on health outcomes. Her clinical interests include hematologic disorders in women, cancer prevention, and the role of nutrition and environment in oncology.
Education: MD from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin (2010), BS in Anthropology and Human Biology from Emory University (2005). Completed residency at Jacobi Medical Center (2013) and fellowships in Hematology/Oncology at Lenox Hill Hospital (2016).
Research focuses on hematology, oncology, and health equity. She collaborates with Women’s Health Research at Yale and actively participates in professional organizations like the American Society of Hematology (Committee on Practice member and AMA Delegate).
Notable awards include Connecticut Magazine Top Doctor (2021–2025) and the Medical Educators Institute Recipient (2021). She leads clinical trials in oncology and hematology, including studies on pembrolizumab/brentuximab vedotin and osimertinib/bevacizumab.
