Kelsey Jones

Kelsey Jones is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Human Services within the College of Education and Allied Professions at Western Carolina University. She teaches in the Higher Education Student Affairs (HESA) graduate program and serves as Program Director for the LEAD Minor. Education includes a Bachelor's in English Language Arts Education from the University of Central Florida, a Master's in Student Personnel in Higher Education from the University of Florida, and she is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership at Western Carolina University (expected graduation: May 2025).

Her teaching philosophy centers on constructivism learning theory, emphasizing knowledge-building through experiences and social interactions. She prioritizes inclusive classrooms where students engage authentically. Research explores Trauma-Informed Educational Practices (TIEP) implementation and Generation Z's unique needs, aiming to create equitable learning environments that address students' lived experiences and developmental journeys.
