Kelly Welch is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Finance Department at the University of Kansas School of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago (1999), a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford (1989), and dual B.S. degrees in Economics and Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University (1987). Her research focuses on financial economics, portfolio allocation, and target-date funds, while her teaching emphasizes valuation methods, risk management, and derivative instruments.
She teaches courses including Business Valuation, Financial Risk Management, Futures/Options, and Portfolio Strategy, covering topics like EVA®, real options, and investment theory.
