Kelly Kousi

Dr. Kelly Kousi is a Lecturer in Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Surrey's School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Previously, she served as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at Newcastle University's School of Engineering (2017–2021). She holds a BSc in Chemistry, an MRes in Catalysis, and a Ph.D. in Catalysis. Her research focuses on synthesizing and characterizing multifunctional nanoscale catalysts using exsolution as a nano-engineering method, targeting sustainable energy conversion applications like CO₂ utilization and hydrogen production. She is also actively involved in STEM advocacy through her roles as Chief Editor, Website Curator Manager, Scientific Writer, and Mentor for GreekWomenInSTEM.
