Kell Black is a Professor in Drawing and New Media at Austin Peay State University's Department of Art & Design. His professional focus lies in visual arts, digital photography, and audiovisual performance collaborations with Barry Jones.
- University of Connecticut MFA graduate
- Recipient of multiple grants and the Socrates Award for Excellence in Teaching
His research and creative practice explores intersections of drawing, new media, and digital art through exhibitions and performances across the United States and internationally in Switzerland.
Recent creative projects include digital photographic works like Emily, Dead Bird, Moth, and Yellow Moth (all 2017), which investigate visual themes through experimental media approaches.
