Keith Thurgood is a Clinical Professor of Healthcare Leadership and Management at the Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas, where he also directs the graduate program in Healthcare Leadership and Management. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at UTD and holds a senior advisor/faculty role at the Thayer Leader Development Group (West Point, New York).

Dr. Thurgood specializes in healthcare leadership, operations management, and strategic leadership, informed by decades of military and executive civilian roles. His research interests bridge organizational development, business transformation, and clinical management in high-stakes environments.
With over 28 years of Army service (active and reserve), including leadership roles like Deputy Commanding General of the U.S. Army Reserve, he brings a unique perspective to leadership education. He has held executive positions in major corporations such as MedAssets, Sam’s Club, and PepsiCo, and frequently speaks nationally on leadership and operations management.
