Dr. Keith Roper is a Professor in the Department of Biological Engineering at Utah State University. His research focuses on nanomaterials and their applications in biomedical engineering, photonics, and sustainable energy. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1994) and a BS from Brigham Young University (1989). His work integrates electrodynamics simulation with experimental methods to advance nano/biomedicine and precision agriculture.

Research Interests: Gene vector delivery, infectious disease diagnostics, nano/biotechnology, photonics, bio/nanomaterials, and electrodynamics simulation. His lab develops novel nanomaterials for pathogen sensing and sustainable energy solutions.

Teaching & Advising: Teaches Biological Engineering Design, Modeling, and Molecular Bioengineering. Mentored over 12 graduate students, including recent advisees Mona Soroush and Siavash Pooretemad. His research has led to 10 books/chapters and over 80 journal articles.
