Keith Hankins, Ph.D. (University of Arizona), is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and the R.C. Hoiles Endowed Scholar in Business Ethics & Free Enterprise at Chapman University. He is affiliated with the Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy and teaches courses in political philosophy, business ethics, and decision theory (including game theory and social choice theory) as part of the Humanomics program.
- Education: Bachelor of Arts in Latin from Brown University; Master of Arts from Rutgers University; Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
Dr. Hankins’s research explores the intersection of philosophy, economics, and social psychology, focusing on the ethics of economic growth, diversity’s societal impacts, and normative structures governing collective decision-making and responsibility practices. His work often engages with classical thinkers like Adam Smith and David Hume to address contemporary ethical dilemmas.
