Keith H. Hirokawa is a Distinguished Professor of Law at Albany Law School, where he has been since 2009. He teaches environmental and natural resources law, land use planning, property law, and jurisprudence. His research focuses on the intersections of ecology, ethics, economics, and law, particularly in local environmental governance, ecosystem services, and watershed management.

Previous Roles: Before joining Albany Law, he was an Associate Professor at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oregon School of Law. He practiced land use and environmental law in Oregon and Washington, collaborating with community groups and nonprofits.
