Keith Bowman is an Adjunct Professor in Purdue University's School of Materials Engineering with research interests in microstructure-property relationships of structural and electronic ceramics. His group develops quantitative models for texture and anisotropy in materials systems.
Education includes B.S. (1981) and M.S. (1983) from Case Western Reserve University, and Ph.D. (1987) from University of Michigan. Research employs advanced characterization techniques including neutron and synchrotron sources to investigate texture development in piezoelectric ceramics. Authored the textbook 'Mechanical Behavior of Materials' (Wiley, 2004).
