Keerthi Rajamani is a Lecturer in Neuroscience at the Brain and Mind Research Institute, Weill Cornell Medical College, where she has been affiliated since 2023. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. and M.Sc. from Ohio State University (2013 and 2008), and a B.Sc. from Sri Ramachandra Medical College, India (2005).
Her research centers on neural circuit mechanisms in neuropsychiatric disorders, with emphases on:
- Oxytocin pathways in social behavior and synaptic plasticity
- Neural reward processing in autism spectrum models
- Molecular psychiatry of addiction and inflammation
- CRISPR-based investigations of neuroreceptors
Recent publications (2014–2025) demonstrate consistent focus on behavioral neuroscience, molecular psychiatry, and neural circuit mapping. Key trends include advanced techniques like Perturb-seq, virogenetics, and CRISPR, applied to neurodevelopmental disorders, addiction, and glioblastoma. Articles frequently appear in high-impact journals including Nature, Cell, and Neuron.
