Keehoon Lee

Keehoon Lee is a Research Assistant Professor and Co-Director of the TGen Integrated Microbiomics Center at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). His career spans expertise in microbiology, genetics, and immunology, with a focus on biofilms and respiratory microbiome analyses.

• Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Yonsei University, South Korea
• Postdoctoral research at the University of Northern Arizona

Dr. Lee's research explores the human microbiome's role in health and disease, particularly in cancers and neurological disorders. His work integrates bacterial-fungal interactions in respiratory diseases and microbiome modulation for therapeutic purposes.

Recent publications highlight microbiome dynamics in metastatic renal cell carcinoma, Alzheimer's disease models, and polymicrobial biofilms. Themes include microbial community mechanisms, virulence attenuation strategies, and microbiome's impact on immune responses.

Dr. Lee leads the TGen Integrated Microbiomics Center, advancing microbiome research through collaborative studies. His projects involve preclinical models, clinical trials, and multi-omic analyses to understand microbial contributions to disease progression and treatment outcomes.
