معرفی
Ke Dong is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Entomology at Michigan State University (MSU), affiliated with the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources. His research focuses on insecticide mechanisms, neurotoxicology, and ion channel biology. He holds a 25% teaching load, instructing courses like Molecular Entomology (ENT 850) and contributing to seminars on insect toxicology. His career spans over 25 years at MSU, progressing from Assistant Professor (1996–2002) to Emeritus status.
Research Interests: His lab investigates the molecular action of pyrethroid insecticides, sodium channel resistance (kdr), and the DSC1 cation channel’s role in neurophysiology. Recent projects address pyrethroid repellency mechanisms in insects. His approach combines molecular, electrophysiological, and pharmacological methods.
Publications Trends: Key work includes elucidating sodium channel-insecticide interactions, DDT receptor sites, and DSC1 channel functions. His studies aim to identify safer, selective insecticides by targeting unique insect pathways.
- Labs/Teams: Dong Lab, focusing on insecticide mode-of-action and resistance.
