Kayla Stover

Dr. Kayla Stover is Professor of Pharmacy Practice and serves as Assistant Dean-Jackson and Vice Chair at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, with joint appointments in Medicine-Infectious Diseases at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). She is affiliated with the Department of Pharmacy Practice and leads the PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program at UMMC.

Her research focuses on infectious diseases, particularly antifungal pharmacotherapy, antimicrobial stewardship, and care for special populations. She also contributes significantly to educational research and pharmacy residency training, integrating clinical excellence with academic innovation.

Dr. Stover holds leadership roles in national professional organizations and editorial boards, reflecting her impact in the field. She has been recognized as a Fellow of both the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA).

She advises pharmacy residents through her role as PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program Director and contributes to national pharmacy education and certification initiatives. Dr. Stover is actively involved in clinical and educational research teams at UMMC and the School of Pharmacy, collaborating across disciplines to improve patient care and pharmacy education.
