Kayla Anderson is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, gardener, and organizer affiliated with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Their work explores how culture and subjectivity intersect with technology and more-than-human encounters. Anderson teaches courses including Research Studio I and courses focused on companion species at SAIC, while also teaching art and gardening at a Chicago Public Schools high school.
