Dr. Kaya Peerdeman is an Assistant Professor at Leiden University's Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, within the Department of Health, Medical and Neuropsychology. She serves as a core researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Placebo Studies Leiden, where she investigates biopsychosocial mechanisms influencing health outcomes.
Research Focus
Her research examines how cognitive and psychological processes shape physical symptoms, with emphasis on:
