Katrīne Kūkoja is an Acting Researcher and Lecturer at the Institute of Public Health, Rīga Stradiņš University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. and contributes to projects focusing on healthcare quality, chronic diseases, and social determinants of health. Her work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in health equity and societal wellbeing.
- Education: Ph.D. student in Public Health at Rīga Stradiņš University.
Research Interests: Her research covers maternal socioeconomic factors affecting preterm birth, healthcare experiences for chronic disease patients, and societal participation in democratic contexts. She specializes in quantitative methods like logit modeling and risk factor analysis.
Recent Publications: Her 2024 article examines socioeconomic impacts on maternal health, while her 2021 book explores societal belonging and participatory democracy in Latvia. These works reflect her focus on health equity and policy.
Projects: She leads the "Adaptation and Utilization of the Innovative Survey Tool People’s Voice Survey (PVS)" and contributes to "Inclusive Wellbeing Through Arts and Culture in the Baltics" under the Erasmus+ program.
