Katrina Foy is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, University of Aberdeen. Her academic journey includes an MA(Hons) in Archaeology from the University of Glasgow (1988-92), a PGCE (Primary) from Northern College, Aberdeen (1995-96), and an MEd with Distinction (2002-2016). She has held roles as a Research Archaeologist (1992-1995), Class Teacher (1995-2002), and Depute Headteacher (2008-2015) before joining the University of Aberdeen in 2015.
- Current research focuses on Digital Games-Based Learning (DGBL) and educational technology.
- Specializes in Design Based Research (DBR) and pedagogical strategies for primary literacy.
- Teaching responsibilities include coordinating PGDE/MA4 Social Studies and mentoring on Masters programs.
