Katrin Späte is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Münster, affiliated with the Department of Sociology. She holds a doctorate from the University of Münster (2002-2004) and has held interim professorships at Paderborn University (W2, 2014-2015) and Giessen University (W3, 2012). Her research focuses on General Sociology, Gender Studies, and Education Policy, with emphasis on ethnic minority teachers, school systems in Germany, and sociological theory in civic education.
