Katrin Schertenleib

Katrin Schertenleib is a PhD student at Trinity College Dublin, affiliated with the O'Connor Lab. Her research focuses on quantifying the impact of multiple environmental stressors on marine benthic resources through interdisciplinary approaches.

• Develops Bayesian Belief Networks to link climate change scenarios to coastal biology in Dublin Bay
• Conducts lab experiments using a mesocosm facility to study ocean warming, acidification, and nutrient effects
• Investigates interactions between abiotic stressors and biological mediation mechanisms

Her work contributes to the international Land2Sea project, aiming to estimate future ocean species assemblages and marine bioenergy production capacity. She utilizes research infrastructure funded by the Marine Institute.
