Katri Räikkönen

Katri Räikkönen is Professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Helsinki, with roles as Supervisor for doctoral programmes in Human Behaviour and Cognition, Learning, Instruction and Communication. She leads research projects investigating developmental origins of health outcomes.

• Maternal prenatal influences on child neurodevelopment
• Long-term health outcomes of preterm birth
• Socioeconomic consequences of developmental origins

Key Collaborations: European Commission Joint Research Centre, Helsinki University Hospital, and international multicenter studies. Current projects include the VIDI Vitamin D intervention trial and the Helsinki Study of Very Low Birth Weight Adults.
