Professor Katie Sheehan leads the Rehabilitation & Health Research Group at Queen Mary University of London’s Blizard Institute. She specializes in improving rehabilitation outcomes for older adults post-fragility fractures, particularly hip fractures. Her work integrates observational data analysis, qualitative research, and intervention design. She chairs the Global Fragility Fracture Network’s Hip Fracture Recovery Research Group and the Royal College of Physicians’ Falls and Fragility Fracture Audit Programme Scientific Committee. She is an Associate Editor for BMC Geriatrics and advocates for early career researchers through toolkits funded by UKRI.
