Katie Harvey

Katie Harvey is a Reader in Reproductive Science at the School of Psychology and Life Sciences, Canterbury Christ Church University, where she has been an academic since September 2014. She serves as Course Director for the Biomedical Science and Human Biology courses and is the equality, diversity and inclusion lead for the School.

Her educational background includes:

• PhD from the University of Kent (2011)
• Postdoctoral Research Associate in embryology at the University of Kent (2011-2014)

Her research centers on Reproductive Science and Embryology, extending to broader disciplines in Biology and Life Sciences. This foundation informs her teaching and leadership in biomedical education.

Dr. Harvey actively shapes curriculum development and student pathways through her course directorship, while advancing institutional inclusivity initiatives as the School's EDI lead.
