Katie E. Garrison

Katie E. Garrison is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alabama, where she explores the interplay of emotional, motivational, and cognitive processes in self-regulation. She earned her PhD in Social and Personality Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2020.

Current Projects

Her lab investigates how executive functioning relates to emotion regulation, the subjective experience of mental effort, and perceptions of authenticity during self-control conflicts using behavioral experiments, EEG/ERPs, and ecological momentary assessment.
