Dr. Katia Vione is a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology at the University of Derby, affiliated with the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care and the University of Derby Online Learning department. She holds a PhD from Cardiff University (2017) and prior degrees from Brazil’s Federal University of Paraiba (BSc 2010; MSc 2012). Her research focuses on Quantitative Methods, Social Psychology, and Individual Differences, with specific interests in social perception, interpersonal relationships, critical thinking, and wellbeing.
Her work addresses topics including online infidelity dynamics, mindfulness interventions for mental health, and the psychological impacts of remote work. She is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Dr. Vione teaches modules like Theoretical Perspectives in Forensic Psychology and Victimology for Forensic Psychologists, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. She collaborates with international institutions and contributes to the Human Sciences Research Centre.
