Kathryne Adair Corbin is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of French and Francophone Studies at Haverford College. Her research bridges gender and sexuality studies, cultural studies, visual studies, and media studies, with a focus on women's roles in 19th-20th century French literature and journalism. She has published extensively on topics such as media ethics, emotional expression in journalism, and pedagogical inclusivity.
Her work centers on Séverine, France's first woman reporter, analyzing how women navigated visibility in the Belle Époque press. She also co-edited Culture and Content in French: Frameworks for Innovative Curricula (2022) with Aurélie Chevant-Aksoy. Recent publications examine gendered media representation, emotional politics in journalism, and inclusive teaching strategies in Francophone studies.
