Kathryn Webster

Dr. Kathryn Webster is an Associate Professor in the School of Sport Science at Endicott College, with over 20 years of professional experience in athletic training and sports medicine. She previously served at Boston University and Trinity International University as head athletic trainer and instructor. Her expertise spans evaluation/treatment protocols, emergency care, and evidence-based practice.

Education:

Research Focus: Investigates lower extremity function, chronic ankle instability, and interprofessional collaboration in patient care. Key projects include utility of the Lower Extremity Functional Scale in ankle sprains and the impact of dorsiflexion on movement patterns. Recent work explores DEI integration in athletic training curricula.

Professional Contributions: Has presented at major conferences such as the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Symposium and International Ankle Symposium. Her work addresses topics like cupping therapy efficacy, foot core impairments, and clinical readiness assessments for athletic training students.

Teaching: Instructs courses in therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, and clinical education (courses MSAT 525, 511, 508, 530).
