Kathryn C. Krieg

Dr. Kathryn C. Krieg is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she has been on faculty since 1990. She holds active staff privileges at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Zablocki VA Medical Center, and Community Memorial Hospital. Past administrative roles include Associate Medical Director for Psychiatric Managed Care Programs and leadership in medical education committees.

Her research spans psychiatry, behavioral medicine, substance abuse, psychopharmacology, and trauma. She has developed curricula for medical education—particularly in outpatient psychiatry and substance abuse—and authored publications integrating clinical practice with academic research. Her scholarly work emphasizes practical applications in psychiatric care and education.
