Kathryn Blocki is a Lecturer in Flute, Piccolo, Flute Pedagogy, and Flute Choir at Geneva College. With a career spanning over four decades, she combines academic instruction with innovative product development and global outreach. Her work bridges performance, education, and entrepreneurship through publications, inventions, and teacher training programs.

Dr. Blocki's research focuses on enhancing flute pedagogy through accessible, creative methodologies. She pioneered the Blocki Flute Method and Flute Zoo series, which integrate rhythmic training, tone development, and inclusive teaching strategies. Her inventions like Pneumo Pro and Flute Flex Pro address ergonomic challenges in wind performance.
Her publications span from 2015-2023 with a focus on beginner instruction, advanced tone techniques, and ensemble training. Notable works include the KinderFlute® curriculum and award-winning inventions that improve respiratory mechanics and instrument positioning.

Blocki has mentored over 500 private flute students since 1979, with 95% achieving competition success. She leads annual teacher training clinics and contributes to pedagogical committees. Her volunteer work includes donating educational tools to low-income communities and providing free lessons to foster children.
