Kathryn Benjamin Golden

Kathryn Benjamin Golden is an Assistant Professor of Africana Studies at the University of Delaware. Her research focuses on histories of marronage and rebellion in the U.S. South, as well as their legacies. She holds a PhD in African Diaspora Studies from the University of California, Berkeley (2018). Her work bridges interdisciplinary approaches to understanding Black resistance, freedom struggles, and historical memory. Key research areas include colonial and antebellum African American life, Black ecologies, and public history.
