Kathryn A. Dettmer

Kathryn A. Dettmer serves as Assistant Director of Administration at Drexel English Language Center and Adjunct Instructor of French at Drexel University. Her education includes:

• MEd in Curriculum, Instruction and Technology from Temple University (1997)
• TESOL Certificate from Drexel University (2012)
• BA in French Language and Literature from Boston University (1988)

Her research focuses on inclusive language pedagogy through universal design principles, translation studies, and Czech literature. She investigates technology-enhanced teaching methods and accessibility strategies for diverse learners.

Recent publications address pedagogical adaptations for students with learning differences and literary translations of Czech poetry. Conference presentations emphasize music integration in language learning and online assessment strategies.
