Kathrin Würth-Roderer is a biochemist and scientific staff member at the University of Zurich's Department of Biochemistry, part of the Faculty of Science. She holds a degree from ETH Zurich, where her doctoral research focused on chorismate mutases and interacting enzymes under Prof. Peter Kast. She has held roles at Lonza AG as deputy lab manager in HPLC, led a global solo expedition, and returned to ETH Zurich as a Senior Scientist before joining the University of Zurich.

- Key Expertise: Enzymology, pharmaceutical release protocols, and directed evolution methodologies
Her research interests bridge biochemistry fundamentals with applied biotechnology, particularly in enzyme systems and educational laboratory development. She co-leads a directed evolution block course and contributes to experimental biochemistry curriculum design at the university level.
