Kathrin Golda-Pongratz is an architect, urban researcher, and photographer based in Barcelona. She currently serves as Vice-Dean of International Affairs at Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura del Vallès (ETSAV) and as Professor of Urbanism at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya BarcelonaTech (UPC). She also holds concurrent roles as a lecturer at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) and visiting professor at Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) in Peru.

Her research focuses on urbanization and globalization processes, with particular emphasis on Hispano-American urbanism, urban memory, informal settlements, and participative urbanism. She explores intersections between architectural theory, urban activism, and postcolonial frameworks in Latin American contexts.
Golda-Pongratz co-developed the international Master's program 'Urban Agglomerations' at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and directed Clemson University's Barcelona Program. She combines urban scholarship with photographic practice, exemplified by her 2014 book Landscapes of Pressure – Paisajes de Presión, documenting urban pressures in Latin America.
