Kathrin Gerlach

Dr. Kathrin Gerlach is a Senior Physician and Chief Physician at the Department of Forensic Medicine and Traffic Medicine, University of Basel, since 2011. Her work integrates clinical practice and research in forensic medicine, traffic safety, and postmortem analysis.

• Education: MD from Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg; training as medical-technical assistant at NTA Isny
• Research: Focuses on cerebral edema assessment, postmortem diagnostics, cannabis/alcohol effects on driving, domestic violence, and forensic identification
