Kathleen Woodward is a Professor of English and Director of the Simpson Center for the Humanities at the University of Washington, holding the Lockwood Professorship in the Humanities. She specializes in 20th-century American literature, discourses of emotions, technology studies, and age studies. Her work bridges literary criticism, cultural theory, and interdisciplinary humanities.
- Affiliations: Simpson Center Director since 2000, former Director of UW’s English Department, and former President of the Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes.
