Kathleen Reinsel, Ph.D., is a Professor of Biology and holds the George C. Greenawalt Endowed Chair in Biology at Wittenberg University. She joined the faculty in 1999 and teaches courses in Marine Invertebrate Biology, Marine Ecology, and Introductory Marine Science. Her research focuses on marine benthic community ecology, chemically mediated behavior in organisms, and the impact of environmental contaminants on aquatic systems, particularly involving fiddler crabs and grass shrimp.

Dr. Reinsel's work includes field studies at the Duke University Marine Laboratory and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Gulf Breeze lab. Her research has explored fiddler crab foraging ecology, larval settlement choices, and contaminants' effects on grass shrimp reproduction.
